Just got word that the road up the mountain to La Esmeralda has been cleared. They will be driving up the mountain in the dark and it is raining. Each of our mission teams has had Louis as their bus driver. The teens have dubbed him the 'bus ninja.' He is very experienced at driving this road in all conditions. Pray for safety and for the team as this day has already been a long day of travel.Denise
Mud Slide Update
Just talked to Jessie. Don Hugo (coffee farmer, church planter, community leader) is working to get the road cleared for the bus to get all the way to La Esmeralda. If it doesn't work they have Selva Negra as a back up. Selva Negra is where the previous teams have stayed during their trips. I will update once I hear where they end up.Denise
We've Arrived!
The team has arrived in Nicaragua safe and sound. We had lunch and now are off to take on the mud slide that washed out part of the road into La Esmeralda.

We have all rested and are ready for an adventure in the Miami airport for an hr before heading off on our last flight.
